If you are a beginning rider, you can qualify for awards and your own class
at Boone County Fairgrounds..if you are rated #1 or higher you may ride in
this class with a beginning rider only as the "gate" rider... you may not enter
the herd or make any attempt to move a calf through the gate.....
If you are a beginning rider, and want to ride with a higher # rider to receive
coaching, indicate this on your entry. We will pair you with an advanced
rider to assist you. The advanced rider will stay in the "gate".
This class is to promote the sport of Sorting for beginning riders or sorters.
Earnings from pre-approved scheduled shows, practices, jackpots and
draw-pots will be counted to determine the top riders in this class. Awards
will be given to the top riders at the year-end Boone County Show.
This class will have 75 seconds to sort their cattle.
A "BEGINNERS CLASS" WILL BE HELD AT THE YEAR END BOONE
